All of our year-in-review posts (see 2020 and 2021), month-in-review posts, and newsletters benefit from our 100% local free and open source analytics solution, Koko Analytics. I reviewed Koko Analytics in depth in January 2022. It is a great tool for privacy-conscious WordPress admins with simple needs because it tracks page visits without collecting identifiable information about visitors or sending information to third parties (it also respects Do Not Track headers). In my review, I noted that Koko Analytics did not specifically count homepage visits. That issue (I considered it an issue, at least) was remedied by an update to the plugin that I installed on September 19, 2022. Homepage visits are indeed now being counted. I have updated my Koko Analytics review accordingly.
