I keep an eye out for new places to share The New Leaf Journal. I came across a project called BlogDB a few months ago. BlogDB allows users to submit websites with RSS or Atom feeds (either their own site or a site that they find interesting). If the submission is accepted, it is added to BlogDB’s database. With an account, users can favorite specific blogs. You can see what The New Leaf Journal looks like on BlogDB here. Unfortunately, the feeds have not been updating for several weeks (as of May 9, 2022). However, I do like the project and the concept behind it. These kinds of efforts hold the potential to make RSS/Atom more accessible and help people escape proprietary platforms and algorithms. I hope that the developer is able to build on the project.
