Happy Mother’s Day from The New Leaf Journal. Last year, I covered in detail the origin of Mother’s Day in the United States. The Mother’s Day movement was led by Anna Jarvis – and the original concept behind the occasion was less commercial than our modern Mother’s Day. It was first recognized as a federal holiday in the United States in 1914. Read more in my full article.
