I watched the first two episodes of a new anime series called Heroines Run the Show: The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task. It is about a country girl named Hiyori Suzumi who transfers to a high school in Tokyo and through a series of events, becomes assistant manager for an idol duo consisting of two surly boys from her class. I have little analysis of the first two episodes themselves (they’re fine), but I do have a conspiracy theory (an undoubtedly true consporacy theory). I am convinced that Hiyori is an alternate-universe version of Bernadetta von Varley from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. They sounded so similar (I play Three Houses with subtitles) that I even checked to see if they have the same voice actress (they don’t – allegedly). If you are familiar with one or the other, look up the one you have not watched and tell me that I am not right.
