I published an article about anime romances with significant height differences between the main romantic pair back in March (see height difference article). The article was inspired by a news release about the then-upcoming My Tiny Senpai, which features a diminutive female love interest for a nondescript office-worker. I used the new series as a jumping off point to examine series that I had seen, most (if not all) of which were probably better than My Tiny Senpai will be. Despite the length of the article, I did not expect it to do particularly well. However, it is having a good time on Google with the debut of My Tiny Senpai the other day, following a strong May and June performances for a short Leaflet post on heights in The Dangers in My Heart. I do not particularly want to watch My Tiny Senpai because it looks like a wish fulfillment show for depressed male office workers who like short women with certain physical characteristics. Do I have to? I think I probably have to watch at least a few episodes now. Do I need to choose my anime inspiration more carefully?
