May 10, 2022 Update: See my full article on the Mastodon Twitter Crossposter.
December 28, 2022 Update: The developer of the Mastodon Twitter Crossposter is closing the instance that he had run since 2017 due to Twitter no longer increasing the app’s API limit. I used it from April to November 2022. Note that while the main instance that I wrote about will be no more, the Mastodon Twitter Crossposter can still be self-hosted. See my more detailed thoughts here. Below, you will find the original text of my Leaflet as it was when first published on April 18, 2022.
Mastodon is a federated Twitter alternative, similar to what Pixelfed is to Instagram. A good number of Mastodon users configured their accounts to syndicate their Tweets. Now I cannot stand Twitter, but I came up with a good idea to put content on it without really using it. Thanks to the Mastodon Twitter Crossposter, my Mastodon posts on linuxrocks.online will now be syndicated to Twitter. Tweeting without using Twitter. This is the way.
