Our official newsletter, The Newsletter Leaf Journal, also exists as a quasi-blog in its archive. The newsletter itself does not have too many email subscribers (I do not know how many RSS subscribers it has), so I thought of an interesting way to try to reach new audiences. I set up a new account with Bearblog and decided to syndicate my newsletter there. You can find our 84th newsletter on Bearblog here. Bearblog works for three reasons. Firstly, Bearblog posts, like my newsletter posts, are written in markdown.  Secondly, Bearblog allows for adding canonocial links – meaning I can tell search engines that the original newsletter is on Buttondown. Thirdly, Bearblog provides some blog networking features similar to Medium, making it a terrific free and open source replacement.
