In the above picture, I was talking to Apple, my Animal Crossing: New Horizons neighbor. She was regaling me with tales of a state visit from a certain “NIXON” of “Watergate” town, who is definitely not my New Leaf Journal colleague, Victor V. Gurbo. This conversation occurred on April 2, 2020, and 10:07 PM. Please observe that Apple was very healthy. You can see that she was dusting when I visited.
The above picture shows my next conversation with Apple in Animal Crossing, mere hours later, at 11:39 AM on April 3, 2020. As you can see, Apple is no longer healthy – but rather desperately ill. Poor Apple was knocking on death’s door until I brought her some unknown medicine from the town store – medicine, I might add, that can be made at a work bench with nothing more than wasp nests and weeds.
I am certainly not stating that Apple caught something from NIXON of Watergate. This is not about drawing conclusions; this is about depicting facts. Some might say “only NIXON could go to China,” some might add that they did not say what happened after NIXON went to China. But again, I am here to provide facts, not opinions. It is up to you, the reader, to draw your own conclusions.
Apple remains my Animal Crossing neighbor. Despite subsequent visits from NIXON, she has stayed in good health.
(Aside: I submit for the record that “NIXON” tends to give off more of a Roger Stone vibe than a NIXON vibe.)
