I just received an unsolicited phone call from “Ella.” She said she was from an insurance company. I did not catch who she was calling from in the first instance, so I asked her to clarify since I had already wasted 10-15 seconds of my life answering the call. Ella re-stated her name and (supposed) employer and said that she was calling to help me save money on my car insurance. I informed Ella that I do not have a car. Now you will not believe what happened next.

She hung up on me. Terrible customer service. Even if I had a car, I certainly would not buy “Ella’s” insurance.

(Read a much better story by an Ella in my review of A Weaver’s Reverie.)
